If you're in crisis
This site and its services are not a crisis or emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 000. For urgent mental health support in Australia, contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or the Suicide Call Back Service on 1300 659 467, available 24/7.
Clinical hypnotherapy, as offered by Simon Baker, is a complementary therapeutic approach. It is not medicine, psychiatry, psychology or a registered form of psychotherapy, and it's not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment or advice from a qualified medical practitioner, psychiatrist or psychologist. If you have a diagnosed medical or mental health condition, hypnotherapy should be used alongside, not instead of, appropriate professional care.
Outcomes from hypnotherapy sessions, coaching, workshops and downloadable audios vary from person to person. Testimonials, case studies and cited research describe individual or group results and are not a guarantee of any particular outcome for you. References to research and evidence on this site are provided for context, not as a promise of a specific clinical result.
Speak with your GP or specialist before starting hypnotherapy if you have epilepsy, a diagnosed psychiatric condition (including psychosis, severe dissociation or personality disorders), are currently taking medication that affects your mental state, or are pregnant. Hypnosis audios should never be played while driving or operating machinery.
Blog posts, service pages and other content on this site are general information about hypnotherapy and performance psychology. They are not personalised advice for your specific situation. A free diagnostic call is the right next step if you want guidance tailored to you.
Simon Baker is an ISPA-accredited clinical hypnotherapist. ISPA accreditation is a professional hypnotherapy body credential, it is not a registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and does not carry the same scope of practice as a registered psychologist or medical doctor.
